This is the mid November fishing report for Skins and Fins charters and guides.

  Flats fishing: Redfish and Snook up on the shallow water flats. On the calmer days we have been fly fishing for Permit and Bonefish. Also sharks and sawfish.

  Backcountry: Snapper fishing is still good. In the channels smaller Resfish, bleach drum, sea trout and Sheeps head.

  Now that the spring has come to a end and the summer heat is her, the smaller tarpon are moving into the backcountry of the Everglades. This tarpon was caught on light tackle by Captain Donnie Benbow on his 23rd birthday.   The word is out that the Dolphins and starting to show out here in Islamorada. Some schoolys and some bigger fish have been report from the Offshore Captains at the Post Card Inn at the Holiday Isle. 

  On the backcountry side of Islamorada the tarpon slowed down for the holiday weekend but the ones the boat traffic slowed down the silver king started to pick back up. Capt mike Vanessia out of Bud and Mary's Marina has been catching big tarpon almost every late afternoon. Using live mullet and crabs has been the bait if choice.

Epic Islamorada Tarpon caught on Fly

Florida Keys Fishing guide Jared Raskob guides his angler Sam Kaufman to his biggest tarpon on fly to date 154 lbs. The epic Silver King was caught off the waters of Islamorada. Jared Raskob is a young local Guide that has quickly through tournament wins has propelled him self to one of the top fly fishing guides in Islamorada.
