Hurricane ERIKA heading to Florida

With Hurricane ERIKA heading to Florida the fishing in the Florida keys has picked up the last few day. The only problem is the TV stations have scared off of the customers! I remember 10 years ago the powers to be chased everyone out of Islamorada and the rest of the Florida keys when hurricane IVAN was in its way. And guess what, it never came close, but business stunk for the next 3 weeks. Weather forecasters would never make it as fishing guides, because we have to produce.

Florida keys fishing

The redfish are slowly starting to show up in the Everglades. I have seen some big schools of reds and even big schools of black drum. Permit remain good but the tarpon are slowing up.
