Islamorada fishing report

Florida Keys fishing , Islamorada.

  I took my anglers out for a half day honeymoon trip and caught 19 redfish, sheeps heads and some sea trout.

  My son Capt Donnie Benbow went out sight fishing on his Hellsbay poling skiff. His anglers has shot a a few big schools of bonefish and permit on the flats around Islamorada. Then he finished the day catching nice sized redfish and snook back in the Everglades.

  The week the Dolphin fishing has just ben off the chain!! Charter boats from Holiday Isle Marian all the way to bud n Mary's Marina had caught large racks of this great and taste Sportfish. 

  Up on the shallow water flats the permit and redfish are showing up in good numbers. The best ways to sight cast to this trophy fish is on light spin. Or you can challenge your self with a 9 wt fly rod.

  On the backcountry it's more of the same. Snappers, sea trout, smaller redfish, big sharks and snook.

  The sports divers have been busy diving offshore and in the gulf for the spiny lobster. So far this year it's been a great catch.
