Islamorada Fishing charters and Guides fishing Report-Skins and Fins Charters.com

This the fishing forecast of the father and son team of www.skinsandfinscharters.com  Well in September and October we are ready for the great snapper and trout bite! These fish really put up a great fight for there size. Lots of rod bending action! Also in the backcountry along the trees and deep holes the reds, snook, black drum and the big shark! Yes the big sharks, the bulls, black tips, nurse, and big spinners all put up a great fight! Using heavy rods and reels we put a chunk of the preferred bait on the bottom waiting for the giants to hit! Up on the flats using light tackle. We sight fish to big redfish and sook along the tree lines. In the cleaner waters the early morning and late afternoon bonefish and permit bight will be good as we'll. Even tho we don't get many in one trip they are two amazing fish to fight on the flats. We'll that's what we are looking forward to down in the keys. Want to give it a try we will be happy to set it up for you. Till then this is captain Donnie and Ted Benbow asking you to keep it in the shallow grass

Islamorada Fishing Report-Skins and Fins Charters

Islamorada Fishing Report- even though there has been a steady decline in Islamorada Bonefishing, the Florida Keys and Islamorada still have some of the biggest Bonefish. Islamorada Fishing Guides like Capt. Donnie Benbow of Skins and Fins Charters have been giving there customers shots at the Silver Bullets during the sunset fishing Charters. Bonefishing in Islamorada was first made famous by baseball slugger Ted Williams seen here holding up a nice sized Islamorada Bonefish. Other famous fisherman to fish for Bone fish in Islamorada include Billy Pate, Stu Apte, Capt George Wood and more. Now a days fishing for Bonefish in the Florida Keys take much more time. If you like to hint and stand in a Deer stand all day to see something, than Islamorada Bone-fishing might be for.

Islamorada fishing reports

Skins and Fins Charter, Capt Ted and Donnie Benbow have been catch large Red fish off the Islamorada area in the Florida Keys. Reds up to 36" caught in about 6" of water. Site casting plastics like DOA swim baits or Millie's Buck tails tipped with shrimp. On the Fly rod the white with Chart Clouser has worked the best. Most of these Red fish are over the slot, and we choose to release them all after a quick photo of the biggest. Capt Donnie and his Anglers are really enjoying his new Maverick HPX mircro. It is very quit and poles like a dream in super shallow water. Till next time, this is Capt Ted and Donnie Benbow asking you to " Keep it in the Shallow Grass"

islamorada Tarpon Fishing

Hello once again from the "Sportsfishing Capital of the World" Islamorada, Key Largo and the Florida Keys fishing. Well the waters out in the Gulf have cooled down a bit and the Spanish Mackerel run continues heat up. on a average four hour Charter nets up to 30 of these great fighting fish about 24 to 36" in size, we are also catching Pompano, Spinner Sharks and Spotted Seatrout too. In Flamingo in the Everglades National Park the Redfishing has really turned on, they have been hanging around in the channels and run offs. These great fighting fish are waiting to ambush baits coming through and trying to keep warm in the deeper water. Out on the shallow patch reefs there has been Yellowtail snapper, Grouper, Hogfish and Big Sharks and the Offshore/Deepsea Charter boats are catching the Big Sailfish. My partner and Son Captain Donnie Benbow has been spending a lot of time up on the flats pitching shrimp and Fly's at Bonefish and Redfish, it been a great way to spend the afternoon and I have been lucky enough to get my time on the bow of his boat doing a little recon with Donnie.
Captain Donnie and I have moved our Business/Boats ( The Bud Light Boats) to the newly re modeled Holiday Isle Resort and Marine, where they have just spent over 11 Million dollars in re doing the rooms, beaches, pools and landscape. The resort wants to become a more family place and my guest that have stayed there in the past month were happy with the results and they also like that if they booked a fishing trip with us, Holiday Isle gives them a 15-20% discount on their room rates.
Reminder: The spring Tarpon migration is on my Anglers minds and Captain Donnie and I are starting to fill our spring calendar up with trips to go after Monster Tarpon, now is the time to start planning your dream trip after these greatest inshore Sport fish there is!!.
Well that is what's been going on here in the Florida Keys. Want to get out on the water, give me a call or check out up dated daily photo's on my website. Till then this Captain Ted Benbow and Captain Donnie Benbow asking you to "Keep it in the Shallow Grass" 305-393-0363
