Greeting once again from the "Sportsfishing Capital of the World" Islamorada, Key Largo and the Florida Keys. This past week withGreeting once again from the "Sportsfishing Capital of the World" Islamorada, Key Largo and the Florida Keys. This past week with the strong moon tides the Redfishing was outstanding!! Large numbers of Redfish up to 30 inches were caught on the mid morning trips to the Everglade National Park. Captain Donnie Benbow and I had a few group trips early in the week out in the Gulf were our two groups of three anglers caught large numbers of BIG Spotted seatrout and nice size eating snapper. During the tide change we also did some fishing for Big Sharks and Tarpon in the glades too. Over on the Islamorada/Key largo side Captain Donnie has been taking every opportunity to go fun fishing with his friend Megan for bonefish, the bonefishing has been good and Donnie has been doing well at it. I have to tip my hat to my long time friend Captain Tim Klein for winning the Islamorada Fall Fly Bonefish tournamentthis past weekend, Great jog Timmy!! Well that is what's been going on here in the Florida Keys, want to get out on the water, give me a call or check out up dated daily photo's on my site http://www.skinsandfinscharters.com/ . Florida keys fishing report, Islamorada fishing Report
Greeting once again from the 'Sportsfishing Capital of the World" Islamorada, key largo and the florida keys. Well it was a great tarpon season this year! Big fish being caught from 70 to 200 plus pounds. I had kids as young as 12 years old pulling in the big Silver King monsters, Wow, what great memories!
The Redfishing in the past few weeks has been outstanding, most trips producing 15 to 45 fish in a trip. The Snook are showing back up to spawn in the Everglades, white baits are working the best around the mangrove shorelines and holes. trout in the afternoon has been a hit with the kids and the Shark and Tarpon trips back in flamingo have treated Anglers to some big fish. want to give it a try? please give me a call. Till then this is Captain Ted Benbow of http://www.skinsandfinscharters.com/ asking you to " keep it in the Shallow Grass" 305-393-0363

Islamorada fishing
Big Redfish are starting to show up in Flamingo in the Everglades National Park. After a great morning of Trout fishing I took my Anglers Mike and Rich Allen from Homestead to one of my redfish honey holes, they caught three big trophy Reds and 10 more average ones.

No BP Gulf Oil Spill in the Florida Keys/Islamorada
Greetings once again from Islamorada and the Florida Keys. With all the recent talk on CNN about the BP Gulf Oil Spill many of my customers have called me to get the real story. Well as I have told them "What Gulf Oil Spill?" It over six hundred miles away from the Florida Keys! And if the oil reaches us in the Florida Keys it will be in the form of Tar Balls. Folks we have been dealing with Tar Balls since I was a little kid and this is not new to us. Bottom line is IT WILL NOT effect your Summer plans!
Fishing has been GREAT! This years night Tarpon fishing has been the best in many years, in the summer months we use live crabs under a float for Big Monsters. Back in the Everglade National Park the Snook are starting to show back up on the full day trips. Closer to home we are catching Big Sharks, Spotted Sea Trout and Redfish. Last week one lucky guest of mine caught a 30 LB. Permit! Check out my web site to see a photo of that nice catch.
