  The small tarpon, snook and redfish are starting to make there summer showing in the flats and backcountry of Islamorada in the Florida Keys.

9-9-2012 Flats fishing for Redfish

Islamorada fishing 9-9-2012 for redfish on the flats has started to pick back up since the Hurricane. Big Redfish being caught in shallow waters off Islamorada , using DOA 5" white baits has don't the trick. Captain Donnie Benbow of Skins and Fins Charters has been catching Res over 30"!! Capt Ted and Donnie Benbow of Skins and Fins Charters have really been wacking the bog redfish off Islamorada. Site casting plastic lures in the afternoon has done the trick.

Had a half day morning trip, caught over 40 slot sized spotted sea trout off islamorada in the Florida keys. Tonight it's off to the tarpon grounds.

On Monday capt Ted and Donnie Benbow had a reel good bite of hoggish on the reefs, on Tuesday capt Ted got into some redfish while capt Donnie caught his young anglers spinner sharks.
