Islamorada fishing Report 6/11/2013

Her we are in the middle of June already and the Tarpon are still biting good! Drifting live crabs just off the shores of Islamorada has done the trick. The average size tarpon has been over 100 LBs. Tarpon are the biggest inshore sport fish and the true test of the light tackle angler. In the backcountry the Flats fishing for Redfish is still strong and will continue through the fall. My partner/Son Captain Donnie Benbow had been catching big Reds up the 38". He will be taking deliver of his New "Hellsbay"18' boat today and I can not wait to get some bow time on this great piling Skiff.
Backcountry I have been catching big numbers of seatrout up to 24"  and redfish around the islands. We are looking for some young Anglers for the Redgost stalk tournament, so if you have a young angler that loves to fish, send him our way.
If you get a chance, check the new fishing show filmed out of the Bud and Mary's Marina call "Reel Rivals" it's on every Tuesday night at 9:00 on the Weather Channel.
Well that's what's going on the way we see it, till next time this is Captain Red Benbow of skinsandfinscharters.com asking you to " Keep it in the Shallow Grass"
